Ive come to the conclusion that Ive been away from dA for far too long (413 deviations and 50+ messages can be a testament to that). I feel like Ive been away from photography in general and it was really beginning to show. Some of you may know that in the world outside dA and the bubble within me I keep aside for my creative ventures, Im working hard at making the most of the 3 short years I have ahead of me working on my PhD. I say working hard because I dont wanna regret a thing when it comes to the end and I know my research is what I make of it. Of course that dedication means volunteering my life away and putting certain things on hold from time to time. Although I am aware that this may just be a passing visit its great to be back. I can see so many people have been busy being ace photographers so I need to buck up and get my act sorted. Haha! Nah its just that much of the work of some of my favourite photographers on here (see my profile for the official list) is pretty inspiring and the entire thing is just making my fingers ITCH!!
Anyway, I have actually been shooting during my hiatus; not really anything in particular just random things whenever I have my camera with me. So Ill try to get a couple of my latest shots up this weekend. I have also found a few older shots that I never bothered to put up (probably from being unsatisfied with them); those will probably make it up too. See if you can spot them?
To further update you on my life, I have:
-continued to um and ah about whether Id be a good

eople (fashion reaaaally) photographer...bad Khush!!
-continued to teach myself sign language (BSL styleee)
-killed, I mean, umm...made grrr faces at a number of people at the BT, Council Tax and Scottish Power offices.
-decided to learn how to write in Pashto and get a little more used to speaking it
-gotten back into my habit of sketching from life
-decided to at least think (theeeenk) about joining the University PhotoSoc (its just that free time is a factor for me)
-read at least a couple of the books Ive been wanting to; just need to stay on top of the reviewing part
-developed a love for listing things.
Ill stop there with that rather cliché statement.
